Instruction for Submission

This congress is an event, organized to provide an international platform for the academicians, researchers, managers and students to share their research findings with global experts. All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research depth, accuracy and relevance to conference theme and topics (information: https://xxicl.ipportalegre.pt/the-congress/topics/)

Submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. All submissions should report original and previously unpublished research results no matter the type of research paper you are presenting. Full text papers (.docx and .doc) will be accepted by Electronic Submission Form. Manuscripts should meet the format set by the Conference committee and are subject to review.

Contributions must be developed with the Abstract Template (MS Word-compatible file)

All abstracts must be submitted at xxicl@ipportalegre.pt with the subject ICCL2021_Oral or ICCL2021_Poster.

  • Notification of abstract acceptance: May 15th, 2021

  • Submission of final version of full paper: September 20th, 2021
  • Virtual Early registration deadline: June 5th, 2021
  • Virtual Regular registration deadline: June 25th, 2021
  • Program announcement (provisional program): January 23th, 2021
  • Final program announcement: June 30th, 2021
  • International Congress on 21st Century Literacies (ICCL2021): July 15-16, 2021

We encourage you to invite colleagues to participate in the conference and submit original research for the conference call for papers.

Abstract guidelines 

You are invited to submit your abstract to the International Congress on 21st Century Literacies (ICCL2021) which will be held online on 15 and 16 July 2021 in Portalegre, Portugal. Please send your abstract for evaluation by the Organizing Scientific Committee and if abstract is accepted, submitter must provide full text paper. The full paper will be requested for subsequent publication opportunities. Otherwise, your abstract, if accepted, only will be published in the meeting Book of Abstracts (with ISBN). At least one of the authors must be register in the congress for publication of the abstract in the meeting Book of Abstracts.

Full paper guidelines

We accept the submission of high-quality papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, experimental and theoretical work or research in all of the topic areas mentioned. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Full paper guidelines _ Reviewing Process All manuscripts will be subjected to double blind peer-review. Each paper must be original and unpublished work, not submitted for publication elsewhere. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article’s publication has been approved by all other co-authors and takes responsibility for the paper during submission and peer review. The publisher will not be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Language: Full papers can be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish.

Evaluation Process

  • All papers will be subjected to double blind peer-reviews. Relevancy, structure, research method, ethical conducts, language standard, innovativeness, references, hypothesis, result presentation, proficiency, format, amongst many other factors are considered for the evaluation process.
  • Papers that are accepted will be published in the e-book Congress.

To present your research at the congress:

Oral Presentations

The Physical and Virtual (Oral) Presentations will take place in parallel sessions.
Each Physical and Virtual Oral Presentation is up to 15 minutes including Q&A.
Presentations can be given in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
A pre-recorded Virtual Presentation is mandatory and sent it to xxicl@ipportalegre.pt.
Please prepare your Live-stream presentation via Zoom to be presented online, according to the congress program schedule.
The style of the video is up to you. Some delegates choose to record themselves presenting, while others convert a PowerPoint presentation into a video.

Posters

Poster dimension: A0 (841 x 1189 mm / 33,1 x 48,8 in)
Posters should be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
